Responsibilities:
Build the vision / strategy / target architecture for Applications, Applications Development, and Enterprise Integration
Establish Apps Development & Enterprise Integration governance and maintain overall responsibility for software quality assurance
Proactively works with stakeholders to identify new initiatives to drive cost reduction, improve operations and increase business profitability
Collaborates with Head of Cloud/Infrastructure & Cybersecurity to build application and integration solutions that are efficient and cybersecure
Research technology trends and incorporate into strategy / target architecture
Build and manage a lean hybrid team ( I.e. mix internal and external resources ) of DevOps and Enterprise Integration Engineers
Strong mentoring of team is a must, especially technical mentoring
This position requires occasional hands-on work so must be willing to roll-up sleeves to do work in detail as needed
Skills/Competencies:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, or Software Engineering or any related field
At least 5 years or more of full-stack applications development and applications integration experience using modern tools
At least 5 years or more of integrating different kinds of applications (i.e. ERP to CRM, Customer App to ERP, ERP to ERP, etc.)
At least 5 years or more of back-end development work ( automations and/or cloud functions that do not require front end UI but work in the background only )
Experience working on Linux based infrastructure
Working knowledge & experience to apps frameworks such as Ruby, NodeJS, Express, Django, Rails, Laravel, etc.
Working knowledge & experience with databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, MS SQL Server, PostGres, Google BigQuery, HaDoop, Spark, etc.
Working knowledge & experience with enterprise application integration tools such as Google Integration Tools , Azure ntegration Tools, AWS Integration tools, RabbitMQ, Mulesoft, IBM MQ, etc.
Understand the concept of Enterprise Integration Patterns
DevOps/Agile Black Belt & working knowledge of various tools, open-source technologies, and cloud services
CI/CD Blackbelt using automated tools and not manual
Communicates effectively across various levels of the organization especially to executive-level audiences
Excellent in change management and conflict handling
Lead with vision, people management/leadership experience is a must and passionate about developing people
Have worked with low code development platforms ( i.e Genexus, Outsystems, etc. ) as development work is envisioned to be mostly low-code produced rather than traditional coding
