What's The Role All About

The Avionics Mechanic reports directly to the Crew Chief. His or her primary duty is to perform all work requirements on the aircraft in accordance with established standards of both quality and safety in an effective and timely manner.

Who Are We Looking For

PAL express is open for experienced & skilled Avionics Mechanics levels A-B.

  • At least a graduate of any two (2) years Aircraft Technical Course in the appropriate discipline (Airframe and Powerplant) or (Radio, Electronics and Instrument).
  • Holder of a valid CAAP license
  • Authorized COM/RTS personnel for Airbus A320/321
  • Equipped with Level 3 Training for Airbus A320/321
  • With Bombardier Q400 Initial Level 3 Training is an advantage.
  • With CFM56 & V2500 Engine Run Up Training is an advantage.

Major Responsibility Areas

  • Accomplishes regular servicing and maintenance of aircraft as required in the maintenance checks in accordance with the procedures and standards set forth in the applicable manuals, manufacturer's specifications, and applicable regulations.
  • Determines defects and unsatisfactory conditions present in the aircraft and diagnoses their causes to pinpoint areas or systems where corrective actions are needed.
  • Performs corrective repairs, adjustments, or unit replacement consistent with the quality standards set by the aircraft manufacturer.

Additional Duties for Aircraft Mechanic with Inspection Authorization

  • Conducts shakedown inspection on aircraft, engines, components and appliances received for repair, overhaul or alteration to look for possible damage, giving special attention to all areas adjacent to the obvious damage.
  • Accomplishes final inspection on aircraft, engines, propellers, components and appliances after completion of maintenance, preventive maintenance, repair, overhaul and alteration.
  • Performs measures necessary to address administrative and operational matters. This shall include but not limited to proper manpower allocation and appropriate response to technical / AOG situations.
  • All Certifying Mechanic with Inspection Authorization shall carry out other tasks directed by the Manager Base or Outstation Maintenance.
