Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Avaloq Consultant to provide functional and technical expertise across Accounts Payable (AP) processes, Avaloq systems, and product lifecycle activities. The role will support projects focused on improving financial processes, optimizing system functionality, and managing system enhancements and releases.
The successful candidate will combine strong knowledge of financial operations and Avaloq with hands-on technical capabilities to analyze requirements, troubleshoot complex issues, and support effective system integration and optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess Accounts Payable processes, systems, and related data to identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization.
- Design and implement solutions that improve the efficiency, reliability, and accuracy of AP-related processes.
- Work collaboratively with technical and functional teams to integrate Accounts Payable processes with the Avaloq platform.
- Provide functional input and recommendations to support product management activities and define system requirements.
- Support system enhancements, extensions, and release management activities for AP and related applications.
- Investigate system and process issues, identify root causes, and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure functional and technical requirements are properly understood and addressed.
Required Skills And Experience
- Strong working knowledge of Accounts Payable processes and systems.
- Practical experience working with the Avaloq platform and its associated functionality.
- Strong understanding of product management, system extensions, and release management.
- Hands-on experience with Avaloq modules, parameterization, reporting, and interfaces*
- Technical proficiency in PL/SQL and Unix/Shell scripting.
- Working knowledge of Unix, Control-M, and batch processing/operations.
- Understanding of banking processes, particularly private banking, Accounts Payable, or other financial operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to troubleshoot complex functional and technical issues.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with technical teams, business stakeholders, and other relevant parties.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certifications in Accounts Payable and/or Avaloq are preferred.
