Job Title: Auto Electrician

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Auto Electrician to join our team in a remote mining environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the heavy industry, preferably within the mining sector, and possess expertise in maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems on heavy mobile equipment (HME), including Caterpillar articulated dump trucks or similar machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical systems on heavy mobile equipment, ensuring operational efficiency and safety.
- Work with CAT articulated dump trucks and other heavy machinery, performing preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting to prevent breakdowns and minimize downtime.
- Install and repair electrical components, including starters, alternators, lighting systems, and onboard computers.
- Work within a 24/7 mining operation and adhere to strict safety and operational guidelines.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Maintain accurate service records and reports on completed work.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Auto Electrician in a heavy industry, ideally in a mining environment.
- Hands-on experience with Caterpillar articulated dump trucks or similar heavy-duty machinery.
- Familiarity with electrical diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Ability to work in a remote location with a rotational schedule in a 24/7 operational setup.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards within the mining industry.
- Relevant certification or trade qualification in Auto Electrical or a related field.
