Job Title: Automation Engineer (Python & PowerShell)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer with strong hands‑on expertise in Python and PowerShell to design, build, and support end‑to‑end automation solutions. This role requires creativity, technical depth, and the ability to deliver resilient, production‑grade automations that improve operational efficiency and system reliability.

• Strong hands‑on expertise with Python for automation, scripting, operational tooling, and diagnostics
• Solid proficiency in PowerShell for Windows‑based automation, infrastructure tasks, and system integrations
• Proven ability to deliver automation end‑to‑end: solutioning, design, development, testing, deployment, and support
• Experience building automations across self‑healing routines, health checks, operational tools, recovery scripts, and request fulfillment
• Strong debugging skills (logs, metrics, alerts), robust error handling, and resilience patterns (retries, rollbacks, idempotency)
• Highly creative mindset with the ability to propose innovative automation approaches and continuously improve processes
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years of experience in automation engineering, scripting, or operational tooling
• Proven experience designing and developing production‑grade automation in Python and PowerShell
• Experience integrating with APIs and handling JSON/XML; familiarity with authentication (OAuth, tokens) is a plus
• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD practices preferred
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, test, and deploy automation solutions using Python and PowerShell
• Build self‑healing routines to proactively detect and remediate issues, reducing incident volume and MTTR
• Develop health check tools and dashboards/scripts to validate system readiness and identify risks early
• Create recovery scripts and operational tools to standardize remediation and enable safe, repeatable actions
• Automate request fulfillment workflows and runbook processes to improve speed and accuracy
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, assess feasibility, and create solution designs
• Produce technical documentation: design notes, runbooks, support guides, and change records
• Provide production support for deployed automation; troubleshoot issues and implement continuous improvements
• Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and governance standards; participate in code reviews and change management
