Summary:
Testing Automation Engineer to support our project by leading UI and API automation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Enhance the automation framework using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript).
- Develop and stabilize robust UI & E2E automation suites.
- Implement API automation including authentication, schema validation, and backend data verification.
- Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines and optimize regression execution.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Playwright, API testing, CI/CD integration, and test stabilization is required.
- As a Test Automation Engineer, a typical day involves utilizing quality processes and automation methodologies to enhance testing products and solutions.
- The role focuses on managing the end-to-end quality engineering function with an emphasis on automation, aiming to improve control, accuracy, and integrity throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Collaboration with team members and continuous improvement of testing frameworks are integral parts of daily activities.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automated testing within the development lifecycle.
- Continuously evaluate and improve existing automation frameworks to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Document testing processes and results clearly to support transparency and knowledge sharing.
- Assist in identifying potential risks and provide recommendations to mitigate them through automation.
- Support the team in adopting best practices and emerging trends in test automation.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Required Skill: Expert proficiency in Playwright.
- Additional Must Have Skills: Proficiency in Automated Testing, Selenium, Functional Test Planning.
- Strong understanding of test automation frameworks and scripting languages.
- Experience in designing and implementing automated test cases for web applications.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines to support automated testing.
- Ability to analyze test results and troubleshoot issues to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 1 year of experience in Playwright.
- This position is based at our Manila office.
