Job Description

Job Type: Full-Time

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM Pacific Time, with a 30-minute break

Salary: $1,200 per month

Job Overview:

We are seeking an Automation & AI Agent Specialist to help build the automation foundation for a new company launch. This role is ideal for someone who has helped create or scale an automation-driven business and can design dependable systems that reduce manual work across departments.

You will be responsible for building end-to-end automations and developing department-specific AI agents beyond the prebuilt options in GoHighLevel. These solutions will support key functions such as Sales, Marketing, Operations, Client Support, and Finance. The ideal candidate is experienced across multiple automation tools and is confident architecting workflows that integrate systems, streamline processes, and scale with the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain automation workflows across departments (Sales, Marketing, Ops, Support, Finance, HR).
  • Develop custom department-specific AI agents outside of GoHighLevel's prebuilt agents (e.g., support triage agent, lead intake agent, operations coordination agent).
  • Design automation architecture using tools such as n8n, Zapier, Make (Integromat), GoHighLevel workflows, and custom integrations.
  • Expand GoHighLevel automation capabilities by connecting external systems via webhooks/APIs and building advanced workflow logic.
  • Map business processes into automation-ready workflows, documenting requirements and validating outcomes with stakeholders.
  • Build workflows with reliability best practices: error handling, retries, logging, monitoring, alerts, and testing.
  • Integrate and automate data movement between business platforms (CRM, spreadsheets, PM tools, messaging, payment tools, etc.).
  • Create SOPs and technical documentation for automation systems, AI agents, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Optimize and refine workflows continuously based on performance, team feedback, and operational needs.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience building automation systems for a business or clients (end-to-end workflow design + implementation).
  • Strong experience with at least one automation platform (n8n, Zapier, Make/Integromat, or similar).
  • Experience building AI-powered workflows or AI agents using LLM tools (e.g., OpenAI API), including prompt design and structured outputs.
  • Proficiency working with APIs/webhooks (REST/JSON), authentication methods, and integration troubleshooting.
  • Ability to build scalable automation systems with clear documentation and maintainable logic.
  • GoHighLevel experience (workflows, triggers, pipelines, webhooks, integrations).
  • Has helped build or scale an automation-first company, automation agency, or internal automation function.
  • Basic scripting skills (JavaScript/Python) for custom logic and advanced workflow steps.
  • Experience with common business tools (Slack, Google Workspace, Airtable, Notion, ClickUp, Calendly, Stripe, QuickBooks, etc.).
  • Experience with AI agent architectures such as function calling, tools/actions, or RAG/knowledge-based agents (a plus).

Note: An NBI or police clearance will be required upon acceptance of the job offer.
