We are currently looking for a AutoCAD Specialist (Work from home) to support our client based in the US.

Job Summary:

The AutoCAD Specialist is responsible in serving as the organization's subject matter expert for AutoCAD, leading drawing standards, workflows, and optimization initiatives to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and consistency across engineering projects.

Responsibilities:

Develops and maintains standardized AutoCAD templates, libraries, title blocks, and drawing standards.

Establishes and documents CAD best practices, file management protocols, layer standards, and collaboration workflows.

Performs hands-on revisions and updates to electrical and technical drawings, ensuring compliance with quality and design standards.

Creates and manages custom AutoCAD elements, including dynamic blocks, xrefs, and annotated layouts.

Provides technical guidance, troubleshooting, and training support to engineers and designers on AutoCAD-related issues.

Audits existing CAD setups and workflows to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements.

Collaborates with engineering and design teams to improve turnaround time, reduce errors, and enhance drawing consistency.

Supports continuous improvement initiatives related to CAD systems, tools, and documentation.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Drafting.

5 years of hands-on experience using AutoCAD in a professional engineering or technical environment.

Advanced AutoCAD skills including dynamic blocks, annotative scaling, sheet sets, LISP/scripts, CAD standards, and complex electrical/technical drawings.

Familiarity with Revit for BIM integration, though AutoCAD will be the primary focus is a plus.

Knowledge of additional tools like AutoCAD Electrical or other Autodesk software preferred.
