Job Description
The AutoCAD Operator is responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings, layouts, and plans for solar PV installations, including rooftop and ground-mounted systems. The role supports the engineering, project management, and installation teams by producing accurate drawings used for permits, construction, and client presentations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare 2D AutoCAD drawings for solar PV system layouts.
- Create roof layouts, panel layouts, single-line diagrams, and electrical drawings.
- Prepare as-built drawings after project completion.
- Assist engineers in system design and technical documentation.
- Revise drawings based on engineering markups and site measurements.
- Maintain organized drawing files and documentation.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Installation Teams.
- Ensure drawings comply with local electrical codes and standards.
- Prepare drawings for submission to obtain permits and client approval.
- Perform basic solar system sizing/layout using provided data.

Qualifications
- Graduate of Engineering, Architecture, Drafting Technology, or related course.
- Proficient in AutoCAD (2D).
- Experience in solar PV drawings is an advantage.
- Knowledge of electrical drawings and single-line diagrams is a plus.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Can meet deadlines and handle multiple projects.
- Familiarity with SketchUp, Helioscope, Aurora, or PVsyst is an advantage.
- At least 12 years of AutoCAD experience (solar industry preferred).
