We are seeking experienced AutoCAD Designers to support venue overlay, temporary infrastructure, and permit drawing submissions for a major international sporting event in Japan.
This is a fast-paced, deadline-driven project requiring accuracy, strong technical drafting skills, and familiarity with Japanese drawing standards and permit processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings for:
- Temporary event structures
- Venue overlays
- Wayfinding layouts
- Crowd flow and safety planning
- Utilities and services coordination
- Prepare and format drawings aligned with Japanese building and permit submission standards
- Support documentation required for local authority approvals
- Revise and update drawings based on engineering, safety, and authority feedback
- Coordinate with project managers, structural engineers, and local compliance consultants
- Ensure all drawings meet strict event delivery timelines
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 35 years experience as an AutoCAD Designer
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (2D essential)
- Experience in:
- Event infrastructure
- Temporary structures
- Exhibition builds
- Large venue overlays
- Understanding of permit submission drawings
- Ability to work under tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Highly Preferred
- Basic Japanese language skills (reading technical documentation preferred)
- Experience working with Japanese drawing standards
- Familiarity with Japanese permit application processes
- Previous experience on:
- International sporting events
- Major exhibitions
- Government or municipality approvals in Japan
Contract Details
