Duties and Responsibilities:
The CAD Designer utilizes design systems to create blueprints, approval drawings, and production packages to support the client's ability to manufacture walk-in coolers and freezer units.
- Manipulating client's design systems to product basic and custom drawings.
- Creating drawings for both approval blueprints and production shop drawings, including panel details, accessory lists, and bills of materials; details include all views and dimensions necessary to manufacture specific projects.
- Strong cooperation between operating areas within client, including your specific team, other teams, sales, purchasing, scheduling, and manufacturing.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, architectural or construction engineering or related field.
- 1 – 3 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience with Autodesk CAD modeling for assembly design (architectural drafting applicability of the software is preferred).
- Ability to conceptualize 2D and 3D forms/shapes, read blueprints, and do calculations dealing with geometry and trigonometry.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal; ability and willingness to actively contribute to your immediate team and surrounding teams.
- Experience providing outstanding customer service and focused, high-quality work.
- Proficient with MS Office Applications
