Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
must have experience both on light vehicles and heavy vehicles (trucks)
Certification from a vocational school or ASE certification preferred
Proven experience as an auto mechanic
Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components
Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment
Excellent problem-solving skills
Good communication and customer service skills
Physical stamina and manual dexterity
Attention to detail and commitment to quality
Valid driver's license
Responsibilities
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles
Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes and tire rotations
Repair or replace worn parts and systems
Conduct vehicle inspections and safety checks
Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems
Maintain accurate records of services and repairs
Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair options
Ensure all repairs meet safety and quality standards
Stay updated on new automotive technologies and repair methods
Keep the work area clean and organized
