What Makes This Role Exciting

CloudPay is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Australia Payroll Specialist. In this client-facing role, you'll take ownership of end-to-end payroll processing for Australian entities, ensuring compliance with local legislation and delivering accurate, timely payroll services that meet client-specific SLAs.

You'll collaborate with internal teams and external partners to manage payroll operations, resolve client queries, and proactively drive improvements. Main Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process end to end Australian payroll (on and off cycle) on a weekly, bi-weekly and monthly basis for clients within APAC region
  • Collate payroll information, process, produce report and journals
  • Process redundancies, termination, new hires, increases and back pays
  • Perform AU statutory contribution and deductions for superannuation, taxation, child support, tax treatment for termination and redundancy, PAYG
  • Remit monthly superannuation contribution, payroll tax, PAYG and quarterly employee statements
  • Perform uploading of bank file and mass changes for entry into payroll system
  • End of year processing and reconciliation including payment summaries
  • Handle all payroll and tax matters and queries from clients on a timely manner
  • Perform payroll reconciliation related to General Ledger accounts
  • Produce statutory and payroll reports and submit to various business units
  • Proactively identify risk areas and work with team to establish solutions
  • Ensure Service Level Agreement (SLA) are met
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of payroll legislation and statutory requirements
  • Update Australia payroll manual as and when on a timely basis

Experience Needed For This Role

  • At least 2 years of hands-on Australia payroll processing experience
  • Proven experience with Australia payroll legislation, statutory requirements and filings, awards, tax, and superannuation
  • Good communication skills and able to explain payroll processing matters clearly.
  • Good stakeholder management experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office especially advanced excel skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Able to work under pressure and independently
