The External Audit Supervisor supervises multiple audit engagements to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality audit services while supporting revenue, profitability, and effective resource utilization. Coordinates engagement planning and execution, reviews and coaches junior team members, and builds strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders. Ensures compliance with firm policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements through quality reviews, accounting research, risk identification, and proper engagement documentation. Leverages appropriate audit tools and technologies to enhance efficiency and supports client satisfaction by providing responsive, high-quality service throughout the engagement.
Responsiblities:
- Supervise multiple audit engagements to deliver high-quality services efficiently and within agreed timelines.
- Coordinate engagement planning and execution while contributing to the achievement of revenue, profitability, engagement realization, and effective resource allocation.
- Review the work of junior audit team members and provide coaching and guidance to support their professional development.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and with internal stakeholders, including middle- and senior-level professionals.
- Promote and maintain audit quality in accordance with firm standards, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder expectations.
- Identify and leverage appropriate resources, tools, and technologies (e.g., standardized audit methodologies and Data & Analytics) to enhance audit quality and efficiency.
- Perform accounting research and evaluate whether clients accounting treatments comply with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and company accounting policies.
- Ensure engagement files are completed, assembled, and retained in accordance with firm policies and applicable professional standards after audit reports have been finalized.
- Identify engagement risks and escalate significant issues to managers or partners as appropriate.
- Support the development of client relationships by delivering responsive, high-quality service throughout the engagement.
Key Experiences and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required.
- At least 3-4 years of external audit experience, preferably gained from a public accounting or professional services firm.
- Experience supervising audit engagements and leading engagement teams is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of auditing standards, accounting standards (e.g., PFRS/IFRS), and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- •Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with audit tools and data analytics solutions is an advantage.
