Job Description

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Audit Supervisor assumes full responsibility for performing fieldwork on audit or review engagements with minimum supervision. Trains and supervises audit associates and associates assigned to engagements. Helps implement accounting systems for new clients. Ensures higher-level personnel are kept informed about the status of engagements. Serves as an instructor or discussion leader in educational programs. Participates in the firm's marketing activities.

Work Setup:

  • Hybrid
  • Work onsite for the first week
  • Twice a month onsite schedule

WORK SCHEDULE:

  • 10:00pm to 7:00am PH time (Mon to Fri); with the potential to transition to 4:00am to 1:00pm PH time (Tue to Sat) after 3 months

Office Assignment:

  • MAKATI OFFICE: 22F Tower 1, One Ayala Corporate Center, Ayala Ave., Makati City

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Carry out audit procedures in accordance with audit plan
  • Prepare draft financial statements in accordance with Financial Reporting Standards
  • Managing audit engagements which include initial engagement planning, analysis of controls and processes, preparation and review of audit documentation and management letters and reports and monitoring of engagement process against budget and timeline
  • Developing and maintaining the long-term client relationships and identifying business development opportunities
  • Coaching and developing team members to achieve technical competencies and efficient performance
  • Familiar with regulatory and reporting requirements
  • Cultivate an engaging work environment that promotes a shared commitment to excellence for achieving the firm's quality, client service, people, and financial objective Provide quality assurance of audit files

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
  • Minimum of 4–6 years of experience in auditing Philippine's-based clients.
  • Proven track record in managing a portfolio of clients.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Solid grasp of business and risk management issues, with familiarity in relevant regulatory and reporting standards.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, budget conscious environment.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
  • Strong analytical thinking, business acumen, and presentation capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are an advantage.
  • Knowledge of audit software like CCH Prosystems and Caseware will be an advantage Desirable:
  • Experience in auditing Philippine's-based clients – Listed Companies
  • Background in Big Four firms is a plus

Technical Competencies:

  • Has a thorough understanding of the firm's quality control standards
  • Keeps abreast of general accounting principles
  • Begins to develop knowledge of complex accounting principles related to clients and their industry
  • Understands the client and its environment and their effect on audit risk assessment
  • Understands audit risks and financial statement assertions and their effect on the audit approach
  • Assumes full responsibility for performing audit fieldwork including planning and budgeting, reviewing and evaluating internal control, adherence to due dates and time budgets, and making decisions on all but the most unusual accounting or auditing matters
  • Resolves technical issues and problems
  • Prepares or reviews financial statements, notes, schedules, and management letters
  • Drafts management and other financial reports for review by the responsible party
  • Ensures that significant transactions and account balances are properly identified, researched, and resolved
  • Directs and performs complex research and support for projects with limited supervision
  • Accesses industry information sources, analyzes and interpolates data to make practical application of the data to everyday operations
  • Responsible for all phases of the engagement, reviews and takes responsibility for the work of team members
  • Assists senior manager or principal in preparing budgets and commits to the budget and timelines adopted by the team
  • Has superior skills in Excel and is proficient in core audit software Prepares budgets and tracks engagements to their successful outcome Is able and willing to contribute to establishing and improving business processes
