Job Description
Key responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of audit engagements, from planning through completion and reporting.
- Ensure audits comply with International Standards on Auditing, applicable financial reporting standards and the firm's quality management policies.
- Review audit working papers and financial statements, resolve technical issues and communicate significant findings to the engagement partner.
- Supervise, coach and develop audit staff, providing timely feedback on performance.
- Coordinate with clients, component auditors and other stakeholders to meet engagement deadlines.
- Manage engagement budgets, staffing and work allocation.
- Identify opportunities to improve audit quality and efficiency.
- Support client proposals and business development activities.
Requirements
- Degree in Accountancy or a recognised professional qualification, such as CPA or equivalent.
- At least five years of external audit experience, including experience supervising teams and managing engagements.
- Strong knowledge of International Standards on Auditing and International Financial Reporting Standards.
- Strong analytical, communication and client management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and deliver quality work within deadlines.
- Experience with group audits and consolidation is an advantage.
- Prior experience with a Big Four firm is a plus.
