The Audit Associate supports internal audit activities to ensure the company's financial, operational, and compliance processes are effective, efficient, and aligned with company policies. In an FMCG environment, the role focuses heavily on inventory controls, supply chain processes, and high-volume transactions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Audit Execution
- Assist in planning and conducting internal audits across finance, operations, and supply chain functions
- Perform walkthroughs and testing of internal controls
- Execute audit procedures and document findings in line with audit standards
2. Inventory & Supply Chain Audits
- Conduct physical inventory counts and reconciliations across warehouses and distribution centers
- Review stock movements, shrinkage, and obsolescence
- Evaluate controls over procurement, production, and logistics processes
3. Financial & Compliance Review
- Verify accuracy of financial records, transactions, and reports
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and accounting standards
- Identify control gaps, inefficiencies, and potential fraud risks
4. Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze large volumes of transactional data (sales, inventory, cost of goods)
- Prepare audit reports, highlighting key findings and recommendations
- Track and follow up on audit issues and corrective actions
5. Process Improvement
- Recommend enhancements to internal controls and operational processes
- Support initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate risks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Internal Audit, Finance, or related field
- CPA or CIA is an advantage but not required
- 1–3 years of audit, accounting, or relevant experience (fresh graduates may be considered)
- Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, or retail is a plus
