Your role:

As a AU/UK Senior Accountant, you will:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant with a strong focus on financial reporting and taxation for both Australian and UK operations. The role involves preparing and analyzing internal financial reports, managing external communications (e.g. vendors), and ensuring accurate and timely compliance with tax and statutory obligations in both jurisdictions.

You will work cross-functionally with stakeholders across departments, leveraging data to support decision-making and ensure financial transparency and accountability.

Role responsibilities:
  • Take ownership of internal and external reporting requirements, including monthly management reports, statutory reports, and vendor-facing financial summaries.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation and submission of AU and UK tax obligations (e.g. BAS, IAS PAYG, Corporation Tax, VAT).
  • Liaise with external stakeholders such as vendors, auditors, and tax authorities to meet compliance and reporting deadlines.
  • Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes and templates, ensuring clarity, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the finance team for month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals with high attention to detail.
  • Assist in the design, development, and automation of financial models and dashboards.
  • Keep abreast of taxation changes, statutory requirements, and accounting standards in AU and the UK.
  • Contribute to internal audits, compliance checks, and control reviews.
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and insights to support strategic business decisions.

Qualifications and experience
  • Graduate of B.S. Accountancy or any bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • Licensed Certified Public Accountant
  • Prior experience in an Australian or UK-based company
  • Proven experience in financial reporting and tax compliance, particularly in AU and UK contexts
  • Hands-on experience using Xero
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and Google Sheets
  • Comfortable working with SQL for data extraction and analysis
