Job Description

Schedule: Monday to Friday (07:00 AM to 04:00 PM PHT)

What are we looking for

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2+ years of dedicated experience in Australian Public Practice is a must
  • Hands -on experience in BAS, IAS, GST, FBT, CGT, Div 7A, SMSF, and Trust Distributions.
  • Software: Proficiency in using Xero, Quickbooks, or MYOB preferred
  • Experience in doing ATO Lodgement preferred

  • Financial Statement & Tax Return Preparation
  • Prepare and review full sets of financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, companies, and Self-Managed Super Funds (SMSFs).
  • Conduct comprehensive year-end accounting procedures, including the preparation of detailed workpapers and lead schedules.
  • Process and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Installment Activity Statements (IAS), ensuring accurate GST reconciliation.
  • Apply advanced knowledge of Australian tax law to manage complex issues, including Division 7A loans, Capital Gains Tax (CGT) concessions, and Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT).
  • Ensure all filings are compliant with current ATO regulatory standards and legislative changes.
  • Identify opportunities for tax planning and assist senior management in providing strategic advice to clients to optimize their tax positions.
  • Utilize Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks for daily bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Manage client communications and lodgments directly through the ATO Agent Portal.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records within the firm's Practice Management software.
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, addressing technical queries regarding their financial performance and tax obligations.
  • Liaise directly with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and other regulatory bodies regarding audits, payment arrangements, or technical disputes.
  • Mentor and review the work of junior accountants or offshore support teams to ensure accuracy and professional development.
