Role Summary
Support the preparation and delivery of Australian accounting and tax compliance engagements. Work closely with Managers and senior team members to execute client work, meet deadlines, and continuously develop technical knowledge.
Core Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Prepare Australian financial statements for:
- Sole traders
- Companies
- Trusts
- Partnerships
- Ensure all outputs are ready for Engagement Manager review
Tax Compliance
- Prepare Australian income tax returns for:
- Individuals
- Companies
- Trusts
- Partnerships
- Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS)
Workpapers & Systems
- Maintain accurate and complete supporting workpapers
- Process journal entries in client accounting systems
Client & Regulatory Support
- Review and organize client-provided documents
- Liaise with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) on client matters
- Assist with research and preparation of supporting documentation (e.g., file notes)
Engagement Support
- Assist in work planning and scheduling
- Support timeline tracking and project coordination
- Contribute to efficient resource utilization
Role Expectations

- Deliver outputs aligned with quality standards and deadlines
- Build knowledge of firm services, processes, and client requirements
