Location: Hybrid 2-3x a week onsite (to be revisited upon regularisation); Makati or Pampanga

JOB OVERVIEW
The AU Senior Company Accountant is responsible for independently managing the end-to-end accounting function of a construction and manufacturing-focused business. This role requires a highly capable and commercially minded professional who can take full ownership of financial operations from day one. The position supports a business environment involving multiple suppliers, parts procurement, inventory management, and project-based cost tracking. The successful candidate will work closely with leadership to provide financial visibility, drive process improvements, and leverage automation and AI tools to enhance efficiency and scalability as the business continues to grow.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- General AU Accounting & Financial Management (managing the full accounting cycle, preparing monthly management reports and financial statements, maintaining general ledger accuracy, ensuring compliance with Australian accounting standards)
- Statutory Compliance & Payroll (preparing and lodging BAS/IAS, managing GST compliance, processing payroll, ensuring superannuation and statutory obligations are met)
- Accounts Payable & Supplier Management (processing and reviewing supplier invoices, managing multi-supplier environments, monitoring cost allocations, reconciling supplier statements, resolving discrepancies)
- Accounts Receivable & Cash Flow Oversight (issuing invoices, allocating payments, monitoring ageing reports, forecasting and managing cash flow)
- Inventory & Stock Control Oversight (supporting stock takes, reconciling inventory balances, monitoring movement of parts and finished goods, ensuring accurate cost tracking)
- Project & Cost Tracking (monitoring project-related expenses, allocating costs accurately, providing financial visibility on job progress and profitability)
- Systems & Process Optimisation (maintaining financial data integrity within Xero and integrated internal web applications, identifying opportunities for automation, improving workflows, leveraging AI tools to increase efficiency)
- Financial Analysis & Business Support (providing financial insights, supporting budgeting and forecasting, partnering with leadership on commercial decision-making)
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience as an AU Senior Company Accountant or in a similar full-function accounting role
- Strong experience within construction, manufacturing, or goods-production environments
- Practical understanding of inventory management and supplier-heavy operations
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage the full accounting function with minimal supervision
- Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax compliance (BAS, IAS, GST, payroll)
- Strong financial analysis capability, particularly in cash flow forecasting
- High proficiency in Xero
- Experience working with integrated systems or internal applications linked to accounting software
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to identify automation opportunities and adapt to AI-driven tools
- Proactive, autonomous, and commercially minded
- Strong communication skills and ability to partner with leadership
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
