Based on the Gold Coast but serving cloud-based clients across Australia, they help SMEs in diverse industries from churches and tradies to hospitality, eCommerce, and healthcare streamline their reporting and stay compliant. Using modern tools like Karbon, they deliver seamless transfers, software conversions, and custom packages tailored to each client's growth stage. Their team makes complex data clear and actionable, ensuring businesses know exactly where they stand and where they can go next. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage end-to-end bookkeeping, from daily transaction recording to preparation of financial statements
- Identify and reconcile discrepancies to ensure balance sheet accuracy
- Prepare and review Business Activity Statements (BAS)
- Review financial statements and reports before client delivery to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Process payroll
- Communicate with clients primarily via email
- Work across multiple client portfolios
- Ensure all journal entries and reconciliations are accurate, itemized, and error-free
- Handle other assigned tasks as needed to support the team's workflow.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or Certificate in Bookkeeping
- With at least 2-3 years total Australian accounting/bookkeeping experience
- Xero experience is required
- Experience with XPM and Karbon is a plus
- Strong communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously
- Accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment with timed workflows and deliverables.
