Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support Moore
Australia's accounting and business advisory services. The ideal candidate will have strong experience
in Australian public practice, with expertise in financial reporting, taxation compliance, and client
portfolio management.
This role involves preparing and reviewing financial statements, managing tax compliance
requirements, providing business advisory support, and maintaining strong client relationships. The
successful candidate will also assist in reviewing the work of junior accountants, ensuring compliance
with Australian accounting standards and taxation regulations, and delivering accurate and timely
accounting services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review full sets of accounts and financial statements in accordance with Australian accounting standards.
- Prepare and review income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships.
- Manage the preparation of BAS, IAS, and other statutory reporting requirements to ensure timely lodgements.
- Perform and review bank reconciliations, general ledger reconciliations, and year-end accounting adjustments.
- Maintain and review supporting workpapers, including depreciation schedules, accruals, provisions, and journal adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with Australian taxation legislation, accounting standards, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Manage assigned client portfolios, coordinate client requirements, and ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
- Provide business advisory support, including budgeting, cash flow forecasting, management reporting, and financial performance analysis.
- Liaise with Australian clients to address accounting and taxation queries and provide relevant financial information.
- Review the work of junior accountants, provide technical guidance, and support team development.
- Monitor engagement deadlines, workload priorities, and work quality to ensure efficient delivery of accounting services.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to maintaining high-quality accounting and client service standards.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in Australian public practice accounting.
- CPA or CA qualification, completed or currently pursuing, is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards, taxation regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proven experience preparing and reviewing financial statements, income tax returns, BAS, and IAS for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero and MYOB, with experience using Microsoft Excel for financial reporting and analysis.
- Experience managing multiple client accounts, meeting lodgement deadlines, and handling client queries.
- Knowledge of budgeting, cash flow forecasting, management reporting, and business advisory services is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly when liaising with Australian clients.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver accurate outputs within established deadlines.
- Experience reviewing junior accountants work and providing technical guidance or mentoring.

Salary Range: PHP 100,000.00 - PHP 120,000.00
