Your Role

As an AU Property Management Admin Assistant, you are responsible for:

  • Process tenancy applications, lease agreements, renewals, and bond lodgements accurately and efficiently.
  • Prepare complex documentation such as lease variations, rent adjustments, and notices in line with legislation.
  • Maintain comprehensive electronic and paper-based filing systems to ensure records are current and compliant with legal requirements.
  • Support month-end reporting, reconciliation of rent and fees, and assist with accounts-related tasks.
  • Liaise directly with tenants, landlords, contractors, and property managers to resolve routine and complex enquiries.
  • Coordinate inspections, repairs, and maintenance schedules with minimal supervision.
  • Provide high-level support during disputes, arrears management, or tenancy compliance matters under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Enter and maintain accurate data in property management software (e.g., Property Tree, PropertyMe).
  • Ensure all actions comply with agency policies, the Residential Tenancies Act (NT), and privacy regulations.
  • Assist with auditing and reporting to ensure the department meets statutory and internal compliance requirements.
  • Mentor or assist junior administrative staff when required.
  • Support the team with workflow management to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to a professional, collaborative team culture.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 1–2 years experience in property management or real estate administration.
  • Knowledge of residential tenancy processes and legislation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly with compliance documents.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management systems.
