About the Role

As the AU Mortgage Portfolio Lending Analyst, you will proactively review and monitor client loan portfolios to identify:

  • Repricing opportunities.
  • Interest-only expiry risks.
  • Equity release opportunities.
  • Serviceability improvements.
  • Refinancing opportunities.
  • Portfolio growth triggers.

You will play a critical role in supporting advisors by preparing comprehensive portfolio reviews, delivering accurate lending insights, and ensuring every client review is backed by quality analysis and actionable recommendations.

Job Responsibilities:

Portfolio Analysis & Lending Reviews

  • Review and monitor existing mortgage portfolios.
  • Conduct loan reviews and rate reviews across the client book.
  • Analyze client lending positions to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Assess serviceability and equity positions.
  • Identify qualified opportunities for future property acquisitions.

Strategic Lending Support

  • Prepare detailed Client Investment Review Packs.
  • Deliver accurate pre-work for advisor meetings.
  • Support lending strategy discussions through data-driven insights.
  • Ensure all portfolio information is accurate, complete, and current.

Data & CRM Management

  • Maintain portfolio records and lending data.
  • Update and manage information within CRM systems.
  • Produce reporting and portfolio analysis using advanced Excel capabilities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve portfolio performance and client outcomes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Portfolio Success and Lending teams
  • Share portfolio insights and recommendations.
  • Support business growth through proactive opportunity identification.

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications (Must-Have):

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in lending, mortgage, banking, or financial services.
  • Experience with Australian mortgage products and lending processes.
  • Experience assessing serviceability, refinancing opportunities, and equity positions.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including working with large datasets.
  • Experience using CRM platforms such as HubSpot or similar systems.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in mortgage retention.
  • Experience conducting loan reviews.
  • Experience within Australian financial services.
  • Exposure to property investment or advisory businesses.
