Your Role
As an AU Junior Accountant, you are responsible for:
- Verify, classify, and record accounts payable transactions from the main mailbox to Xero entities, ensuring accurate entry in Xero and submission to Approvalmax.
- Enter invoices in the expected month based on closing timelines sent by the CCA team.
- Reconcile accounts payable ledger and vendor statements, ensuring all bills and payments are properly recorded.
- Investigate and identify discrepancies.
- Add new suppliers where needed and inform the CCA team for review and bank details validation.
- Generate and maintain reports on accounts payable status.
- Ensure proper allocation of expenses across accounts and cost centres.
- Payroll transactional support as needed.
- Accounting / Closing
- Revenue reconciliation (reports drawn from the billing system under direct control). Map these reports to Xero account lines (type of revenue) and raise invoices in Xero to match total revenue (done on workday 2–3).
- Bank reconciliation (payments applied to invoices).
- Intercompany reconciliation (using MAYDAY to check and balance).
- Petty cash reconciliation.
- Assist the Finance team with ad-hoc financial analysis and project work.
- Contribute to system integration and process improvements.
