Job Snapshot

Employment Type: Full-time

Shift: Day Shift (9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Melbourne time; start time may be adjusted to 10:00 AM if needed, subject to discussion) | Weekends Off

Work Setup: Onsite, Makati (Possible transition to hybrid setup after 6 months based on performance)

The Qualifications We Seek

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience for Analyst-level candidates
  • 5+ years of relevant experience for Senior Analyst-level candidates
  • Bachelor's degree completed or near completion in Accounting
  • Bachelor's degree completed or near completion in Commerce or Business, preferably with a major in Accounting, Finance, or Commercial Law
  • Hands-on exposure to AU financial statements, including Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports
  • Strong written reporting skills, with the ability to prepare clear, structured, and professional financial reports
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial records, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, sorting, filtering, reconciliations, and financial data review
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and document quality
  • Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize case requirements, and work on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for internal and stakeholder correspondence
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to review records, identify gaps, and summarize findings clearly

Highly Preferred

  • Experience or exposure to insolvency, restructuring, corporate recovery, liquidation, administration, or related financial advisory work
  • Experience using Power BI for reporting, dashboards, or data visualization
  • Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot to improve efficiency in research, financial analysis, or reporting
  • CPA qualification completed or near completion

Key Responsibilities

Case Administration

  • Assist in the day-to-day administration of a portfolio of corporate and personal insolvency matters
  • Prepare statutory and progress reports for creditors and other stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate physical and electronic case files in accordance with firm procedures
  • Draft correspondence to creditors, directors, and other stakeholders
  • Update and maintain case management systems and workflow checklists

Financial & Investigative Work

  • Conduct statutory searches
  • Review and analyze financial statements, bank records, and company books and records
  • Assist in identifying and investigating potential antecedent or voidable transactions, including unfair preferences, uncommercial transactions, and insolvent trading
  • Support asset identification, recovery, and realization processes
  • Assist with dividend calculations and reconciliation of creditor claims

Compliance & Statutory Work

  • Prepare statutory documents for ASIC and other regulatory bodies
  • Monitor statutory deadlines under the Corporations Act 2001 and the Bankruptcy Act 1966
  • Ensure internal compliance checklists are completed accurately and on time

Creditor & Stakeholder Communication

  • Respond to creditor queries in a professional and timely manner
  • Assist with adjudication of creditor claims
  • Prepare dividend calculations
  • Liaise with agents, solicitors, and valuers

General Support

  • Assist onshore staff and managers with ad hoc case-related tasks
  • Maintain accurate time recording and billing records
