Your Role
As an AU Estimator , you are responsible for:
- Monitor estimating email address
- Add new leads to Tender List
- Download packages and save to Sharepoint
- Complete a material takeoff using Bluebeam Revu
- Send to suppliers/other trades for quoting
- Submit RFI's to client as needed for further information
- Assess SOW from client to ensure we have it all covered
- Compile quotes, make our own allowances
- Present to management for review
- Submit Tender to client
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1–3 years of Australian estimating experience with knowledge of Australian
- construction standards, estimating procedures, and project requirements.
- Proven experience in takeoffs is required.
- Strong experience in metal fabrication or structural steel projects, including reading and
- interpreting plans, specifications, and material requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate
- professionally with clients, suppliers, and internal teams via email, phone, and meetings.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced
- environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, MS Swift, and AutoCAD for estimating, reporting,
- documentation, and reviewing technical drawings.
- Experience with Tekla Structures is an advantage, particularly for steel detailing and
- project coordination.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to prepare accurate estimates and identify
- discrepancies in drawings and documents.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy and
- organization.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
