AU Bookkeepers (Australian Experience Required)

Remote | Philippines | Australian Clients | Part-Time & Full-Time Opportunities

We're looking for experienced Australian Bookkeepers to support our growing portfolio of Australian client partners.

We currently have several opportunities available across different business and accounting environments, ranging from core bookkeeping support through to more complex accounting, compliance, reporting, and financial analysis responsibilities.

Please note: Previous hands-on bookkeeping or accounting experience supporting Australian businesses or Australian accounting firms is required. Candidates with local/non-Australian bookkeeping experience only will not be considered.

What you may be responsible for

Depending on the opportunity and your experience, responsibilities may include:

• End-to-end bookkeeping for Australian businesses
• Bank, credit card, and account reconciliations
• Transaction coding and allocation
• Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Australian payroll and superannuation
• BAS and IAS preparation
• Month-end accounting and financial reporting
• Maintaining accurate records in Xero
• Investigating discrepancies and resolving reconciliation issues
• Preparing financial information and reports for review
• Supporting multiple Australian entities or client portfolios
• Variance analysis and identifying unusual financial movements
• Working closely with Australian-based accounting and finance teams

What we're looking for

• Hands-on Australian bookkeeping/accounting experience is essential
• Strong practical experience with Xero
• Solid understanding of Australian bookkeeping practices
• Strong reconciliation and transaction-processing experience
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Confidence identifying and investigating discrepancies rather than simply processing transactions
• Strong organisational and time-management skills

Experience in any of the following will be highly regarded: Australian accounting/bookkeeping practice environments, BAS/IAS preparation, Australian payroll, Xero Practice Manager, Xero Tax, tax preparation, management reporting, advanced Excel, variance analysis, or financial analysis.

About the opportunities

We have both part-time and full-time remote opportunities supporting Australian clients. Working arrangements, responsibilities, and hours will vary depending on the position and your experience.

Some opportunities are focused primarily on bookkeeping, while others provide exposure to broader accounting, reporting, compliance, and advisory work. This means we're open to different levels of Australian bookkeeping experience and will consider where your background is best aligned.
