Your Role
As An AU Bookkeeper, You Are Responsible For
- Enter invoices, bills, and expenses into Xero accurately
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable processing
- Match bank feed transactions in Xero
- Perform reconciliations
- Maintain organised and up-to-date financial records
- Reports from Xero
- Identify and flag discrepancies
- Maintain and update Excel spreadsheets
- Perform accurate data entry across systems
- Organise digital files and supporting documents
- Assist with email management and basic responses
- Support general admin tasks and ad hoc requests
- Assist with simple data clean-up and formatting tasks in MS software
Qualifications
- 3+ Years of Australian Bookkeeping Experience or accounting knowledge
- Experience in a similar role
- Hands-on experience with Xero (essential)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (essential)
- Basic formulas (simple calculations)
- Ability to format and organise spreadsheets
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow structured processes and instructions
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Reliable internet connection and ability to work remotely
- Experience with ClickUp CRM is nice to have
- Basic to intermediate understanding of AI software (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Outlook and OneDrive
- Working knowledge of Hubdoc and its core functions
- Understanding of GST in Australia, including how it applies across products, suppliers and general
ledger accounts
- Ability to work autonomously, with sound judgement on when to escalate queries to management
