ASSOCIATE SOLUTION SUPPORT ENGINEER - PROFESSIONAL SERVICES

We are actively sourcing for a highly motivated Associate Solution Support Engineer to join our Professional Services development group. This is a full-time position in our Manila, Philippine's office. This role consists of troubleshooting, supporting, debugging, documenting, and administering custom applications, software tools and systems for our Mid-Market and Enterprise clients, including:

  • Administering back-end systems, including different type of servers, hypervisors, operating systems, middleware, and custom application software.
  • Monitor PS (Professional Services) production environments: investigate, troubleshoot, and find software faults and system issues.
  • Document, administer, deploy, and support software and customizations developed for clients.
  • Coordinate cross-departmental troubleshooting efforts.

Location: Mandaluyong, Philippines

  • The candidate will be expected to interact with customers over the phone and via web conference and will often need to explain and document technical solutions to non-technical people. Good verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Required Skills:

  • Must be able to articulate an issue, show solution options, and communicate the best course of action to the client, document the solutions via knowledge articles or other technical writing.
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently on projects as guided by manager.
  • Able to switch between several projects/tasks each week.
  • Must display excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex issues in an efficient and prompt manner.
Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of or development experience in scripting languages, HTML, JavaScript, PHP, Python, PERL etc.
  • Working knowledge of SQL database systems (MySQL, SQLite, Postgres, etc.) including queries, table design, optimization, and replication.
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking and transport protocols such as FTP/FTPS/SFTP, Amazon S3, Dropbox API.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience is required.
