Responsibilities
Entry level position training under the direct guidance of ACC Business Unit Manager focusing primarily on small development and follow-on production programs. Key role responsibilities include the following:
- Program execution: Manage program performance against production schedules, quality, cost and delivery targets.
- Customer Interface: Act as customer (internal and external) contact for production issues, delivery coordination, routine commercial interactions and performance reporting; maintain high customer satisfaction and manage expectations. Provides assistance to internal and external customers visits, audits and reviews.
- Product Cost Management: Achieve product cost objectives through monthly PCAS review; this includes direct involvement on make/buy decisions, program transfers, monitoring of direct and indirect cost variances and influencing efficiencies or working with designated cost or transition focal to champion program objectives.
- Demand flow down & coordination: Translate program requirements into site-level demand, lead demand flow down and ensure production departments have required planning, materials and capacity to meet program needs.
- Cross-functional coordination: Closely collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, quality, and logistics organizations in achieving program commitment to the customers in terms of delivery of quality products.
- Escalation & issue resolution: Own resolution of escalated production, supply or quality issues impacting program performance; lead root-cause actions and corrective plans with stakeholders.
- Change & configuration control: Manage engineering change requests impacting production, ensure configuration control, and align stakeholders on implementation plans.
- Compliance & safety: Partner with Quality team to ensure production activities comply with customer specifications, applicable regulatory standards, company policies and safety requirements; support audits and quality events.
- Contract Compliance: Ensure compliance with contract requirements through coordination and management of all program activities. Typically utilizing in-house processes such as BMDL-12-2150 OR recognized alternative process.
- Transition/ NPI Management Support: Provide project management support for transitions and new product introduction (NPI). Ensures proper coordination between all program elements by developing program plans and schedules and to ensure compliance with program plans by monitoring the status of cost, schedule and task completion.
- Reporting & governance: Produce clear, concise program status reports and decision packages; participate in various internal programs reviews.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or business, or equivalent relevant experience
- One to three years of relevant planning/ program/ project management experience with a demonstrated knowledge in understanding contractual requirements and/or scope adherence
