Job Summary
The HR Generalist Associate is responsible for the day-to-day operations specifically focusing in statutory government contributions, employee benefits administration, and payroll-related reporting and talent engagement. The role ensures compliance with Philippine labor and government regulations while serving as a key support for employees, HR Business Partners, and Finance.
Job Responsibilities
Government Statutory Compliance
- Prepare, update, and submit statutory government reports and forms, including: SSS R1A, PhilHealth ER2, HDMF Merging Forms
- Assist in generating SSS collection lists and payment reference numbers in coordination with Finance or Payroll leads.
- Process SSS Maternity and Sickness Benefit applications and monitor reimbursement status.
- Prepare and release requested PhilHealth documents
- Assist in updating employee government records with SSS, PhilHealth, and HDMF.
- Provide payroll and statutory documents required for DOLE inspections.
- Respond to employee queries related to government contributions and benefits.
Benefits and Deductions Administration
- Administer employee benefits per payroll period, such as: Car loans, Coaching benefits, Wedding benefits, Paid leaves and other payroll-linked benefits
- Process employee deductions including HMO dependents, vaccines, and other approved deductions.
- Manage and validate employee allowances included in payroll.
Employee Separation and Clearance
- Prepare and release documents related to final pay and separation.
Records Management and HR Systems
- Maintain, update, and archive 201 files on payroll-related employee records.
- Address HRIS and payroll-related system concerns raised by HRBPs or employees.
Coordination and Administrative Support
- Coordinate with vendors on payroll-related vendor payments.
- Perform other payroll and HR administrative duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Talent Engagement
- Assist in planning and executing engagement programs and initiatives.
- Support onboarding activities of new hires for smooth transition in the firm.
- Collaborate with other HR team members to align engagement strategies.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in human resource management, Accounting, Psychology, Behavioral Sciences, Management, or a related field is preferred.
Work Experience
- At least 2 years of experience in C&B and HR operations, preferably with exposure to Philippine statutory compliance and implementing talent engagement initiatives.
Skills and Other Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Philippine payroll practices and government contributions (SSS, PhilHealth, HDMF).
- Above-average written and spoken English skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work with employees and internal stakeholders professionally.
