Associate FE Engineer

Work from home and join a fast-growing Australian fintech company! We're seeking an experienced Associate Frontend Engineer who has a background with both CSR and SSR Web Development.

Minimum Requirements

• General Qualifications:
• Be a Filipino citizen residing in the Philippines
• Secure a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing for reports, presentations, and business discussions

• Professional Experience:
• Command a minimum of 0-2 years of progressive experience in software development, with direct experience contributing to production user interfaces
• Demonstrate a proven track record of successfully developing and delivering medium-sized frontend features with clear requirements and defined design specifications
• Technical Skills:
• Master at React as core modern JavaScript/TypeScript framework and its standard development tools and component lifecycle
• Command solid proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web design principles to ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility
• Possess practical knowledge of API integration (REST/GraphQL), version control systems (Git), and the use of package managers (npm/yarn) for dependency management
• Specialized Knowledge:
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of component-based architecture and apply it to write reusable, maintainable, and well-structured frontend code
• Possess in-depth knowledge of unit testing and integration testing best practices for frontend components and user workflows (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress)
• Exhibit proven capability in debugging complex client-side and server-side application issues using browser developer tools and performance profilers
  

Good To Have

• Hold a certification in basic web accessibility standards (WCAG) or performance optimization fundamentals
• Exhibit experience participating actively in code reviews, testing, and troubleshooting of deployed frontend applications
• Bring experience contributing to the design system or component library of a development team
• Possess knowledge of server-side rendering (SSR) or static site generation (SSG) concepts and their benefits
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Software Development and Engineering:
• Develop and implement user-facing features using modern web technologies
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code for frontend applications
• Implement responsive and adaptive designs, ensuring seamless functionality across various devices
• Integrate frontend components flawlessly with backend APIs
• Quality Assurance and Testing:
• Write and execute comprehensive unit and integration tests for all frontend code
• Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance (QA) to guarantee the quality, usability, and responsiveness of user interfaces
• Perform thorough cross-browser and cross-device compatibility testing
  

This is a full-time contractual position following the 9 AM to 6 PM Manila schedule.
