About the Role

This entry-level position focuses on learning layout fundamentals through formal and on-the-job training. As an Associate Layout Engineer, you will assist in designing and implementing basic integrated circuit layouts under close supervision while developing a foundational understanding of ADI's processes, practices, and tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Works on basic layout problems with limited scope and complexity

  • Learns company processes, practices, and tools

  • Follows standard practices and detailed procedures

  • Works under close supervision with regular review

  • Assists in designing and implementing basic integrated circuit layouts

  • Learns to use EDA tools for IC layout and verification

  • Supports timing extraction and analysis tasks

Must Have Skills

  • Basic Understanding of Layout Principles: Familiarity with fundamental concepts of IC layout design and implementation

  • IC Layout Knowledge: Basic knowledge of integrated circuit layout and CMOS processes

  • EDA Tool Familiarity: Beginning proficiency with electronic design automation tools

  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in team environments

  • Learning Aptitude: Strong desire and ability to learn new concepts and technologies quickly

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience

  • 0-2 years of relevant experience
