About the Role
This entry-level position focuses on learning layout fundamentals through formal and on-the-job training. As an Associate Layout Engineer, you will assist in designing and implementing basic integrated circuit layouts under close supervision while developing a foundational understanding of ADI's processes, practices, and tools.
Key Responsibilities
Works on basic layout problems with limited scope and complexity
Learns company processes, practices, and tools
Follows standard practices and detailed procedures
Works under close supervision with regular review
Assists in designing and implementing basic integrated circuit layouts
Learns to use EDA tools for IC layout and verification
Supports timing extraction and analysis tasks
Must Have Skills
Basic Understanding of Layout Principles: Familiarity with fundamental concepts of IC layout design and implementation
IC Layout Knowledge: Basic knowledge of integrated circuit layout and CMOS processes
EDA Tool Familiarity: Beginning proficiency with electronic design automation tools
Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in team environments
Learning Aptitude: Strong desire and ability to learn new concepts and technologies quickly
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
0-2 years of relevant experience
