Think of yourself as someone who is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines, data warehouses for use by the analytics infrastructure, so not just anyone is qualified for this role! Imagine yourself going to work with one thing on your mind: you will assist in making accurate and meaningful data available for consumption of TaskUs Business Intelligence reporting methodology. As you tackle your new tasks for the day, you know that it will lead to one thing: that everything you do is in order to meet an enterprise's data delivery, business analysis and reporting needs.
Key Responsibilities
- You will create new data pipelines, database architectures and ETL processes, you will observe and suggest what the go-to methodology should be.
- You will be gathering requirements, performing vendor and product evaluations, delivering solutions, training, and documentation.
- You will also handle the design and development, tuning, deployment, and maintenance of information, advanced data analytics, and physical data persistence technologies.
- You will establish analytic environments required for structured, semi-structured and unstructured data.
- You will implement the business requirements and business processes, build ETL configurations, create pipelines for the Data Warehouse, research new technologies and build proof-of concepts around them.
- Build and maintain extract-transform-load (ETL) and/or extract-load-transform (ELT) processes for DW and Data Lake.
- You will carry out monitoring, tuning, and database performance analysis.
- You will perform the design and extension of data marts, metadata, and data models.
- You will also ensure all data warehouse architecture codes are maintained in a version control system.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year to 4 years of data integration experience using any programming languages (SQL, SAS or Python) to produce data marts, mappings, table relationships, and reports. Other programming languages related to SQL/data management can also be considered.
- Deep knowledge in creating database objects such as views (normal, materialized), stored procedures, schema, and tables (external, normal).
- Deep knowledge of database structures, normalization, de-normalization and entity relationships
- Deep knowledge of data warehouse concepts and best practices
- Good command of ETL technologies & platforms. Required skill(s): ETL, Pentaho, Fivetran, AWS Athena, AWS S3, AWS Glue, AWS Redshift, Redshift, Data Modelling Scripting (SQL, Gas, Python, Google DLP API, Java)
- Strong data manipulation and data analysis skills adhering to standards for routing information protocol: (Data Modeling, Model at the lowest feasible grain, Dimensional/Star Schema, Conform Dimensions across data marts where possible, Incorporate business logic transformations in the level where it makes the most sense)
- Proficient in SQL query optimization and have experience in massive data processing.
- Solid knowledge in industry data warehousing practices: (Surrogate Keys, Type 1,2,3 dimensions, Dimension vs. Fact, 3NF vs. Star vs. Snowflake)
- Experience with a reporting tool/s: (Understanding of reporting use cases such as operational, exploration, ad hoc, analytical, etc., and appropriate matching tool types (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
