Associate AI Product Manager

Moovsoon is a small, nimble technology company solving a major problem in the moving and home services industry. We operate in a fast-paced startup environment, move quickly, and are currently in the middle of a fundraising round.

As our product pipeline evolves, we are actively looking for ways to extract tangible value from artificial intelligence. We need someone who can help us identify, scope, and seamlessly retrofit AI into our existing platform and workflows to drive real impact.

We are looking for a highly capable, execution-oriented Associate AI Product Manager. This is not a role for someone who just reads about AI trends; we need a hands-on practitioner who understands the spectrum of AI capabilities and knows how to implement bite-sized AI features that solve actual business problems.

You will bridge the gap between product strategy and technical execution, working closely with leadership and engineering to embed AI into our software. You should know exactly what it takes to move beyond basic prompting—understanding API payloads, model inferences, data routing, and how to extract structured value from AI outputs.

This is a high-growth, execution-focused role. You will be expected to jump into Jira, research technical feasibility, test API endpoints, write detailed user stories, and ensure our AI implementations are reliable, cost-effective, and deeply integrated into our core product.

AI Strategy & Implementation

• Identify realistic, high-value opportunities to retrofit AI into our existing moving and home services software.
• Design bite-sized AI features that can be shipped quickly and iteratively without requiring massive structural overhauls.
• Research and evaluate different AI models, endpoints, and tools to ensure we are using the most cost-effective and performant solutions.
• Work closely with engineering to map out API integrations, data flows, and inference handling.

Product & Project Management

• Translate AI concepts into clearly defined projects, user stories, acceptance criteria, and engineering tasks.
• Maintain project timelines, dependencies, priorities, and status updates in Jira.
• Coordinate AI initiatives from initial requirements through development, QA, release, and post-launch follow-up.
• Facilitate sprint planning and backlog refinement specifically for AI-driven features.
• Balance experimental AI features with the stability of the broader strategic roadmap.

Testing, QA & Documentation

• Validate AI outputs to ensure they meet quality standards and handle edge cases, hallucinations, or failure scenarios gracefully.
• Create clear implementation guides and technical documentation so internal teams (like onboarding and sales) understand how to leverage new AI features.
• Partner with engineering to troubleshoot payload errors, webhook conditions, or integration hiccups.

Practical AI Fluency

• Demonstrated experience actually implementing or retrofitting AI into software products, not just theoretical knowledge.
• Strong understanding of AI infrastructure: APIs, context windows, token limits, structured outputs (JSON), and model inferences.
• Familiarity with modern backend environments, automation tools, and API routing (experience with tools like n8n, Supabase, Twilio, or Vercel is a major plus).
• Ability to independently look up technical documentation, test API calls, and determine the feasibility of an AI feature before bringing it to engineering.

Product Management Skills

• Experience coordinating software projects, writing requirements, and defining acceptance criteria.
• Comfortable working with Jira or a similar project management and issue-tracking platform.
• Ability to break down complex technical AI concepts into simple, actionable steps for a development team.

Startup Mindset

• A scrappy, resourceful builder who is highly cost-conscious and focused on maximizing ROI.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where processes are still being built and priorities may shift.
• Proactive about finding answers and removing blockers without needing constant direction.

Communication

• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Strong writing skills for detailed Jira tickets, project updates, and internal documentation.
• Comfortable collaborating directly with a U.S.-based team and participating in live working sessions.

This role is designed to expand as Moovsoon grows. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to become our resident AI product expert, with a clear path to owning larger segments of our roadmap, shaping our long-term AI strategy, and advancing into a mid-to-senior product leadership role.
