About Market Pre Trade

The Markets Pre Trade Technology team comprises colleagues situated in the major hubs of United Kingdom, United States, India, Singapore and Czech Republic. We are accountable for the delivery of technology for Markets globally, working in partnership with our Business customers to develop and implement long term strategic IT solutions. We support more than 450 applications and a user base of 7000+ staff across all business units and major geographic hubs, enabling them to effectively manage capital and liquidity, assess internal and external risk metrics, and meet regulatory reporting requirements.

About Credit Analytics

The Credit Analytics team manages numerous applications that help with intra-day and end of day (EOD) pricing workflows. The output of these processes are consumed by a variety of stakeholders from Front Office Trading, Business management and COOs, Market Risk, Independent Valuation and Control (IVC), Product Control, Credit Risk amongst others.

The Credit Analytics team is responsible for the development and maintenance of pricing, risk and analytics applications for credit trading desks globally. The team interacts closely with quantitative analytics team delivering the analytics to meet live and end-of-day pricing, risk, P&L and scenario requirements of credit trading desk, market and credit risk, independent valuation and control and product controllers

What will you be doing/ What we're looking for:

The Credit Analytics team is looking for pricing and analytics applications senior developer responsible for the development of end-of-day and live risk and analytic services for credit trading. The successful candidate should have good understanding of fixed income products preferably credit products, pricing and quote conventions. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the development, technical design, implementation, code-reviews, testing and second line of production support.

KeyAccountabilities

. Own and drive end-to-end delivery of new featuredevelopment, ensuring high-quality outcomes aligned to business objectives

. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine businessrequirements design, develop, and maintain robust applications

. Partner closely with cross-functional IT teams (Trade Booking, e-Trading, Market Data, and Risk Reporting) to deliver strategic initiatives and ensure seamless integration across platforms

. Contribute to and support the testing strategy, defining comprehensive test scenarios and coverage to ensure all in-scope requirements are thoroughly validated

. Provide production support, proactively troubleshooting issues, performing root cause analysis, and driving timely remediation

. Participate in mandatory infrastructure upgrades, DevOps initiatives, and technical debt reduction activities, ensuring platforms remain stable, scalable, and aligned with engineering best practices

Stakeholder Management and Leadership

. Engage directly with front office trading, operations, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, provide regular status updates, and deliver ongoing support

. Build and maintain strong relationships across a diverse stakeholder group, adapting communication style effectively to suit different audiences and seniority levels

Essential Skills and Basic Qualifications:

. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline

. Strong domain expertise in Fixed Income and Credit products, including corporate bonds, loans, and credit derivatives (CDS, index options)

. Extensive experience (12+ years) designing and developing enterprise-grade Java applications, with deep expertise in Spring Boot and modern backend architectures

. Proven full-stack development capability, including building low-latency, intraday risk platforms with strong concurrency and performance considerations

. Deep expertise in event-driven and messaging architectures, with hands-on experience using technologies such as Solace, Kafka, or equivalent platforms

. Experience implementing distributed caching solutions, preferably using Apache Ignite or Grid Gain

. Strong front-end development experience, including HTML5, CSS, and modern frameworks such as ReactJS or Angular

. Solid understanding of Agile delivery methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing strategies across the development lifecycle

. Proficiency in DevOps and build tooling, including Maven, Git, JIRA, GitLab, Nexus, and Nolio

. Demonstrated leadership in driving technical design and engineering excellence, including leading design discussions, mentoring junior engineers, and promoting best practices

. Experience developing and optimising high-performance, distributed systems within financial services environments

. Hands-on experience with cloud-native architectures, including deployment and orchestration using platforms such as OpenShift, Kubernetes, or similar

. Strong experience with automated testing frameworks(e.g., Cucumber, TestNG) and adoption of test-driven development (TDD)practices

. Proven track record supporting large-scale,mission-critical systems, including production support, performance tuning,scalability, and resilience improvements
