PURPOSE (why does the position exist, WITH what objectives and WITHIN what limits):
Given the expanding number of entities and the increasing complexity of tasks within the Tax Group, it is recommended that a Manager be appointed to lead the department.
Education:
- Lawyer or Certified Public Accountant
Relevant Experience
- At least 5 years of experience as a CPA in tax practice, or 2–3 years of experience as a lawyer in tax practice, preferably with a Big 4 auditing firm or a law firm specializing in tax.
Business Understanding
- Handled entities/clients engaged in IT, real estate, and service business in general.
Technical Knowle
- Able to handle BIR tax compliance requirements (i.e. tax return filings, submission of alphalists, etc.) of large group of companies
- Familiar with the Tax Code of the Philippines, BIR issuances, Court decisions, and other related laws, rules and regulations.
- Able to assist on audit investigations both with LGU and the BIR.
- Ability to provide tax advice.
- Basic knowledge on request for rulings with the BIR International Tax Affairs Division, Legal Division and other relevant authorities.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Tax Return Preparations, including submissions of necessary attachments and reports with the BIR
- Able to handle the tax compliance requirements of the entire group of companies.
Assist in Tax Audit Investigation from LGU and the BIR
- Should be well versed of the tax audit investigation process pursuant to the BIR Regulations and the Local Government.
Code To provide tax advice and conducts tax trainings and seminars
- Shall be able to provide tax advice on queries, trainings and seminars on significant tax matters and new tax laws, rules and regulations
Assist in the tax compliance requirements of cross border and other complex transactions
- Shall be able to assist in the drafting of position papers, requests for ruling, and other similar documents with government agencies
Verbal and written/formal correspondence with government agencies
- Shall be able to formally respond to inquiries and other matters by government agencies
