Profile

Education And Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science or Finance.
  • MBA or advanced degree in business, analytics, or finance is an advantage.
  • Pricing qualification or certification would be a plus (e.g. Certified Pricing Professional designation).

Requirements And Attributes

  • 5 years or more experience in B2B pricing strategy and analytics.
  • Strong process management experience in a multinational environment.
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a matrix environment and at different levels of the organization, from frontline up to senior management.
  • Expert-level data analysis skills in Excel, including pivot tables, sophisticated formulas, macros, Power Query, etc.
  • Skills in Data Storytelling and Root Cause / Gap Analysis.
  • Experience using, maintaining, and creating data management and visualization tools (SQL, Power BI, Domo, or similar).
  • Above average communication skills (oral & written).
  • People and results-oriented; Detail-oriented.
  • A team player with a positive attitude.
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking.

Main Duties

Operational and Commercial Excellence

Price Processing

  • Receive new price, price change, or special discount requests from sales managers
  • Prepare comprehensive analysis package (volume, margin, competition, peer, product capacity) to aid pricing approvers in decision making
  • Route pricing analysis to proper approval authorities and support any additional information requests
  • Ensure proper and timely follow-up with pricing approvers to meet turnaround requirements
  • Maintain up-to-date log records of all price requests to show turnaround time for each price request
  • Regularly monitor and report pricing KPIs and perform the necessary actions to determine and resolve below target performance (RCCM)
  • Manage pricing databases (costs, peer prices, pricing guidelines) to make sure all data used in reporting are accurate and up-to-date
  • Send out approval forms once a request is fully approved and coordinate price uploads into the Oracle system, if required
  • Proper and effective delegation of price requests to team members and ensure business continuity in the event of leaves and holidays among team members

Rebate Processing

  • Maintain rebate submission tracker and provide weekly status updates
  • Review draft rebate agreement submissions to ensure proper adherence to standard template approved by legal team; and escalate any non-standard clauses to legal team for approval
  • Coordinate with plant finance to prepare sales, price, and margin data and consolidate into a comprehensive rebate analysis file to be routed to approvers aiding them in evaluating the proposal
  • Ensure proper and timely follow-up with rebate approvers and support any additional information requests
  • Facilitate the signature process of approved rebate proposals to ensure that the rebate application form and agreement are completely signed
  • Inform plant finance teams of the approved rebate schemes to guide them in proper budget provisions in accrual process
  • Inform sales teams of the approved rebate schemes and coordinate any invoice price uploads required in the Oracle system

Ad hoc Requests

  • Extract, check, and provide price list extracts to account owners, as requested
  • Provide cost and GP calculations to product marketing team, as requested
  • Create analysis for strategic cases

Innovation

  • Deploy standardization of pricing tools and processes to drive efficiency and proper documentation of requests and approvals
  • Identify and drive process improvement initiatives and automation of reports through adoption of tools, creation of dashboards, organization of databases
