Assistant Property Manager
Job Type: Full-Time
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Pacific Time, with a 1-hour break
Salary: $1000 per month
Job Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to support the daily operations of a residential property portfolio. This remote role is responsible for assisting with maintenance coordination, tenant communication, and work order management to help ensure properties are well maintained and residents receive timely and professional service. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced property management environment while collaborating remotely with the management team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly and professionally to tenant inquiries and maintenance requests, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
- Review, prioritize, and manage maintenance work orders in AppFolio.
- Coordinate maintenance services using approved vendors and internal technicians.
- Communicate with tenants to schedule maintenance work and provide updates on service requests, documenting communications in AppFolio.
- Track maintenance requests to ensure repairs are completed accurately and on time.
- Assist the property management team in obtaining repair estimates and coordinating vendor services when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records, notes, and updates related to maintenance requests and tenant communications within AppFolio.
- Support daily tenant correspondence and help ensure a high level of tenant satisfaction.
- Assist with urgent maintenance coordination when necessary.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience using property management software; AppFolio experience strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment when handling maintenance or tenant concerns.
- Professional written communication skills with the ability to manage tenant communications effectively.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to remain composed in high-pressure situations.
- Ability to coordinate multiple maintenance requests and follow through to completion.
- Availability to assist with urgent maintenance coordination when required.
Note: An NBI or police clearance will be required upon acceptance of the job offer.
