Role description:
- Accountable for management of all projects or programs within the business area
- Accoutable for delivering scope of work in line with budgetary, compliance, regulatory and planning controls, and with deep technical knowledge and broad business experience
- Responsible for implementing policies and procedures in line with GEC country specific policies.
- Roles at this level will deliver distinct elements of projects or contribute to the delivery of overall programmes of work
- Role holders will work independently and will be required to have a depth of technical knowledge and experience in their field
Role accountabilities:
- Work within established standard operating procedures to assist in tasks such as but not limited to the production of delivery output and schedules for projects, monitor and review project information, in order to identify any discrepancies and ensure management has access to up-to-date and accurate project information.
- Individually contribute to a range of professional assignments and monitor in order to support the delivery of projects to time and quality standards
- Accountable for delivery of timely and accurate data collection, analysis and reports
- Prepare documents such as project plans and schedules by collating and interpreting data
- Analyze project data and trends to develop recommendations that aid senior colleagues in decision-making
- Proactively monitor and evaluate project management processes to identify opportunities for improvement and advise on enhancements
- Act as a focal point for operational queries, providing specialist advisory support and ensuring alignment between policy and practice
- Independently collate and interpret data to prepare documents including project plans and schedules
- Take a proactive role in monitoring and evaluating existing project management processes in order to identify opportunities and provide advice for the improvement of processes and systems
- Complete complex, professional level tasks as requested by colleagues, prioritising case load and interpreting established policies in order to effectively support the project management function
- Liaise with stakeholders from across the business to provide specialist advisory support to internal clients, acting as a focal point for operational project queries and ensure that there is alignment between policy and operational practice
- Accountable for delivery of timely and accurate data collection, analysis and reports
- Responsible for interpreting and communicating project support policies, processes and systems
- Responsible for monitoring and escalation of project management KPIs and performance metrics
- Responsible for communicating and highlighting project process compliance issues to project managers
Working Relationships & Contact
- Senior Project Managers - providing support and engaging to ensure appropriate information is provided and advising on project delivery issues
- Operational Teams - collecting information and co-ordinating activities required to achieve compliance with project processes
- Project Managers - engaging to collect information and provide reports and analysis to support delivery
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline (e.g. Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, Construction Management, etc.), master's degree an advantage
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in project and program management, including at least 3 years leading teams on large, complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
- Proficiency in project/program management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, PowerBI, Autodesk Construction Cloud) and familiarity with methodologies/frameworks (e.g., PMI, APM, Agile) and highly skilled in MS Office application
- Preferably with professional certification or chartered status (RICS, APM, PMP, PRINCE2 , etc.)
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to effectively interact with high-level stakeholders, build relationships, and negotiate with external parties.
- Relevant business experience, including experience supporting large and complex projects
- Good communication skills, including the ability to liaise with peers and senior colleagues and build and maintain relationships
- Commercial awareness and organisational understanding
- A logical approach and ability to think through complex issues to co-ordinate multi-faceted aspects of projects
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently
- Proficiency in using relevant software and systems
