Job Description

Job Summary

The Assistant Procurement Manager supports the Procurement Manager in overseeing procurement operations for Rockwell's real estate development projects, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. This role ensures the timely sourcing and delivery of construction materials, equipment, and services while maintaining Rockwell's high standards for quality, cost efficiency, and supplier reliability. The position plays a key role in vendor coordination, contract support, and procurement planning to ensure successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Planning and Project Support

  • Assist in implementing procurement strategies aligned with project timelines and company objectives.
  • Review material requisitions, technical specifications, and scope requirements from project teams.
  • Support procurement planning for construction, architectural, and operational requirements.

Supplier Sourcing and Accreditation

  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend qualified suppliers, contractors, and service providers.
  • Assist in supplier accreditation, evaluation, and performance monitoring.
  • Maintain and update Rockwell's approved vendor database.

Bidding and Contract Support

  • Assist in the preparation of bid packages, requests for quotation (RFQ), and requests for proposal (RFP).
  • Prepare bid tabulations and commercial comparisons for management review.
  • Support contract preparation, review, and coordination with suppliers and contractors.

Cost Control and Negotiation

  • Assist in negotiating pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost efficiency.
  • Support cost analysis and ensure procurement aligns with approved project budgets.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and procurement optimization.

Coordination and Delivery Monitoring

  • Coordinate closely with project management, construction, engineering, warehouse, and finance teams.
  • Monitor supplier performance and delivery schedules to ensure timely completion of project requirements.
  • Address procurement-related issues, delays, and supplier concerns.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and supplier documentation.
  • Prepare procurement status reports, delivery updates, and supplier performance reports.
  • Ensure compliance with Rockwell's procurement policies and audit requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical)
  • At least 58 years of experience in procurement, preferably in real estate development or construction.
  • Experience handling construction materials, contractor procurement, and project-based purchasing.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier evaluation.
  • Excellent negotiation, coordination, and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); ERP system experience is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced real estate development environment.
