Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the execution of valuation engagements across businesses, intangible assets, and financial instruments (including equity, debt, derivatives, and options) for mergers and acquisitions, litigation support, financial reporting and restructuring, tax and financial advisory purposes
  • Build and review complex financial/valuation models (three-statement financial statement, discounted cash flow, market multiples) and validate key assumptions underlying forecasts
  • Conduct industry and company research, monitor market trends, and ensure valuation analyses comply with best practices, standards, and methodologies
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality valuation reports and presentations
  • Drive business development initiatives, including proposal preparation and client pitches
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders to build and maintain strong relationships throughout the engagement lifecycle and resolve valuation issues
  • Supervise, train, and mentor associates and interns, fostering technical and professional development
  • Work with partners and senior staff on client management, practice development, and business development activities

Requirements:

  • Strong academic background in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • Professional qualification in accounting/CFA/FRM or progress toward certification preferred
  • Ideally 2 - 5 years of valuation experience acquired with the valuation practice within an accounting and/or professional services firm
  • Advanced quantitative skills with the ability to interpret financial statements and build three statement financial models in Excel
  • Strong grasp of business valuation and intangible assets valuation concepts is essential
  • Proficiency in Excel-based financial/valuation modelling
  • Proficiency in financial instruments valuation is an advantage
  • Knowledge in programming languages (e.g., VBA, Python) and data visualisation tools is a plus
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and presentation/report-writing skills with attention to detail, combined with a good understanding of business dynamics and commercial value drivers
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, lead teams, and perform under pressure
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently and developing good relationships with clients, senior management, and partners
  • High proficiency in English; additional language skills are an advantage
