Position Title: Assistant Manager, HR
Work Arrangement: Full-time On-site
Work Schedule: Mon-Sat 8:00-5:00 PM (with Alternate Saturday Rest Day)
Location: Darong, Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur
Job Summary
Assists the HR Manager in the planning, implementation, and administration of HR and Admin programs, policies, and processes. Supports the effective delivery of Talent Acquisition, Compensation and Benefits, Performance Management, Learning and Development, Employee Relations, HR Systems, Compliance, Occupational Health, Security, and other HR and administrative functions in support of business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
TALENT ACQUISITION & WORKFORCE PLANNING- Assists in workforce planning and coordinates manpower requirements with department heads to ensure timely hiring of qualified employees.
- Supports end-to-end recruitment activities, ensuring approved manpower requirements are filled within established timelines.
- Monitors onboarding activities, recruitment records, talent pools, and recruitment metrics to support hiring decisions and workforce planning.
- Supports the development and implementation of recruitment strategies and initiatives to attract qualified talent.
- Assists in payroll administration by validating payroll inputs and employee information to ensure accurate and timely processing.
- Coordinates the administration of company and statutory benefits, ensuring timely processing and compliance with applicable requirements.
- Assists in reviewing and improving compensation and HR policies based on business and employee requirements.
- Supports salary benchmarking, job evaluation, and compensation reviews.
- Assists in the implementation and administration of the Performance Management System (PMS).
- Coordinates goal setting, performance reviews, evaluations, and other performance management activities.
- Provides guidance to employees and managers on PMS processes, requirements, and timelines.
- Monitors compliance with performance management processes and identifies areas requiring improvement.
- Assists in conducting Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and preparing training plans aligned with organizational and business requirements.
- Coordinates training programs, including scheduling, participant management, documentation, and evaluation.
- Monitors training completion and compliance with mandatory and regulatory requirements.
- Assists in evaluating training effectiveness and identifying employee development needs.
- Assists in handling employee concerns, grievances, disciplinary cases, and workplace issues in accordance with company policies and applicable labor regulations.
- Provides guidance to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations matters, escalating complex or sensitive cases to the HR Manager.
- Supports employee engagement and employee experience initiatives to promote a positive and productive workplace culture.
- Assists in ensuring compliance with labor laws, government regulations, and company policies.
- Coordinates documentation and requirements for government agencies, audits, inspections, and labor-related proceedings.
- Monitors HR compliance and recommends corrective actions to the HR Manager.
- Assists in maintaining accurate and updated employee records and HRIS data, including SuccessFactors.
- Supports HR system users and coordinates system-related concerns and resolutions.
- Prepares HR reports, MIS, and workforce analytics covering manpower, recruitment, turnover, attendance, training, and other key HR metrics.
- Analyzes HR data and provides relevant insights to support management decision-making.
- Assists in developing, reviewing, and implementing HR policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Supports job analysis, job description development, job evaluation, organizational structure updates, and other organizational development initiatives.
- Maintains accurate and updated organizational charts, job descriptions, policies, procedures, and other HR documentation.
- Supports the continuous improvement of HR processes and systems.
- Assists the HR Manager in HR and administrative activities, including permits, licenses, insurance, employee welfare, company activities, and other corporate requirements.
- Assists in monitoring and addressing HR compliance requirements, audit findings, and corrective actions.
- Prepares HR data and documentation required for audits, investor due diligence, and compliance reviews.
- Maintains accurate and updated HR records to support audit readiness and investor requirements.
- Supports the implementation and communication of HR policies, procedures, and company initiatives.
- Assists in supervising, coaching, and guiding HR staff as delegated by the HR Manager.
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the HR Manager and Management.
