Job Description
Role Overview
As the primary HR contact for line managers and employees in Singapore and Australia, this role provides HR support, guidance and coaching on employee matters and HR processes. The role supports the achievement of both short- and long-term business objectives while ensuring alignment with Global HR and Commercial business strategies.
The incumbent acts as a trusted HR Business Partner to the line managers and key stakeholders, providing HR insights and support for business and operational planning, while ensuring compliance with local labour legislation and global policies and standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. HR Business Partnering
- Serve as a visible, accessible and trusted HR advisor to line managers, employees and key stakeholders across Singapore and Australia.
- Provide HR guidance and coaching on people matters, organizational priorities and HR best practices.
- Partner with business leaders to translate business needs into practical people strategies and workforce plans.
- Develop and implement locally relevant HR programs and policies
2. Talent Acquisition & Talent Management
- Partner with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to attract, assess and hire high-quality talent.
- Support talent development, succession, retention and capability-building initiatives to meet current and future business needs.
- Provide people insights and recommendations to support talent and organizational planning.
3. Employee Experience & Employee Relations
- Oversee employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, employment changes, transfers and offboarding, to deliver a consistent and positive employee experience.
- Partner and coach line managers to drive effective performance management, strengthen team engagement and capability and apply HR best practices in compliance with local employment legislation and global policies.
- Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, disciplinary processes and grievance handling
- Promote company values and contribute to a positive, inclusive and high-performing work environment.
4. Employee Engagement & Communication
- Support employee engagement action planning and coordinate HR-related engagement initiatives across the organization.
- Plan, coordinate and facilitate employee forums, including Morning Connect sessions in Singapore and similar programs in Australia, to encourage learning, engagement and effective information sharing.
- Prepare and distribute clear and timely employee communications through appropriate channels, covering HR programs, employee activities and organizational announcements.
5. Annual HR Processes & HR Operations
- Manage annual HR processes, including performance calibration, compensation reviews and bonus cycles.
- Manage the end-to-end monthly payroll process for Australia, including preparation, validation, approval coordination and liaison with the external payroll vendor.
- Maintain accurate employee records and safeguard HR data integrity and confidentiality.
6. Budgeting & Mobility
- Prepare and manage annual and quarterly HR budgets, including labour costs and headcount planning.
- Support workforce forecasting and organizational planning to enable business priorities.
- Support cross-border employee mobility and relocation initiatives, as required.
7. Compliance
- Ensure HR practices comply with applicable employment legislation, global policies and internal standards.
- Represent HR during internal and external audits in Singapore and Australia, as appropriate.

Requirements
Experience
- Minimum of 8 years progressive HR experience, preferably within a multinational organization operation in a matrix environment
- Experience in the medical device, healthcare, life sciences, or other regulated industries would be an advantage.
Skills / Accreditations
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to effectively partner and negotiate with business leaders to achieve both HR and organizational objectives.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- High level of integrity, professionalism and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive matters.
- Self-driven, proactive and resourceful, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Independent and results-oriented, while demonstrating a collaborative and team-focused approach.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Adaptable and resilient, with the ability to navigate change and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and HR systems; relevant HR professional certification would be an advantage.
Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline; HR/Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
- Professional HR certification or relevant postgraduate qualifications would be an added advantage.
