We are seeking a highly experienced and people‑focused Assistant Manager – RPO Healthcare Recruitment to support and oversee the end‑to‑end hiring operations within a high‑volume Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) program. The ideal candidate has extensive expertise in U.S. healthcare recruitment—specifically in hiring US Registered Nurses (USRN), Travel Nurses, and other clinical healthcare professionals—and thrives in a metrics‑driven, fast‑paced environment.

Basic Purpose
The Assistant Manager is responsible for supervising the daily activities of a team of recruiters and ensuring the successful hiring of qualified healthcare professionals. This role manages recruitment operations, monitors performance metrics, supports escalations, ensures compliance with U.S. credentialing standards, and maintains strong client and candidate relationships.
The Assistant Manager partners closely with recruitment teams, onboarding specialists, and client counterparts to ensure service-level excellence and smooth execution of hiring activities.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Operational Oversight
- Lead, mentor, and coach a team of Healthcare Recruiters specializing in U.S. RN, Travel Nurse, and Home Healthcare Worker (HCW) recruitment.
- Oversee day‑to‑day recruitment operations, ensuring targets are met for sourcing, screening, submittals, interviews, and hires.
- Monitor performance metrics (KPIs, SLAs, quality scores) and implement corrective actions or improvement plans as needed.
- Conduct daily huddles, weekly performance reviews, and monthly business updates.
- Support manpower planning, workload distribution, and team productivity optimization.
Recruitment Strategy & Delivery
- Ensure delivery of high-quality, end‑to‑end recruitment services including sourcing, screening, evaluation, and candidate presentation.
- Oversee the creation of robust talent pipelines for high-demand and hard-to-fill roles.
- Review candidate profiles to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with U.S. credentialing and licensure requirements.
- Provide guidance on sourcing strategies, market insights, and recruitment best practices.
- Drive initiatives to improve hiring speed, sourcing effectiveness, and candidate engagement.
Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Maintain strong working relationships with client hiring managers, internal leadership, and cross-functional teams.
- Serve as the escalation point for recruiter, candidate, or client concerns related to recruitment operations.
- Attend client meetings, deliver hiring updates, and support quarterly business reviews.
- Coordinate with onboarding, credentialing, and HR teams to ensure smooth transition from hire to deployment.
Compliance, Reporting & Process Optimization
- Ensure all candidate documentation and data are accurately maintained in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Oversee adherence to U.S. federal, state, and facility-specific credentialing requirements.
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports including team productivity, pipeline status, fill rates, and operational performance.
- Identify process gaps and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support recruitment events, job fairs, and talent marketing activities as needed.
People Development & Culture Building
- Foster a high-performance, customer‑focused, and collaborative team culture.
- Provide training on interview techniques, sourcing tools, healthcare terminology, and U.S. compliance standards.
- Support career development plans and encourage upskilling within the recruitment team.
- Recognize top performers and promote an environment of accountability and excellence.
Qualifications
Required
- Proven experience in healthcare recruitment, with strong exposure to USRN and/or Travel Nurse hiring.
- Previous experience in a senior recruiter, team lead, or supervisor role within RPO, BPO recruitment, or healthcare staffing.
- Strong understanding of U.S. healthcare roles, credentialing requirements, licensure processes, and clinical staffing standards.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and performance management skills.
- Ability to interpret recruitment data, metrics, and pipeline insights for decision‑making.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal), with a professional and client‑focused approach.
- Proficiency in MS Office and experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and healthcare job boards.
- High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred
- Experience handling U.S. healthcare clients or multinational organizations.
- Background in staffing for Home Healthcare, Acute Care, Long‑Term Care, or specialized nursing roles.
- Previous involvement in process improvement, project management, or recruitment operations.
- Familiarity with RPO workflows, SLAs, and client governance models.
