Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional individual who can serve as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders, bring strong commercial judgment, challenge decisions with confidence and credibility, and translate financial insight into actions that materially improve business performance.

The successful candidate must possess sharp business acumen, intellectual rigor, and a strong understanding of the business landscape, with the ability to anticipate issues, shape strategy, and drive value creation in a complex, fast-evolving cybersecurity environment.

Job Description

  • Serve as a senior strategic Finance Business Partner to the Cyber leadership team, providing robust financial insight, commercial challenge, and independent judgment to support growth, profitability, investment decisions, and business sustainability.
  • Lead end-to-end FP&A activities across forecasts, budgets, long-range plans, and performance reviews, with a clear expectation to move beyond reporting and identify actionable interventions that improve business outcomes.
  • Provide rigorous analysis of financial and operational performance, uncover underlying business drivers, and proactively highlight risks, opportunities, and trade-offs to support timely and informed decision-making.
  • Partner business leaders on strategic initiatives, bids, investments, pricing decisions, cost optimisation, and resource allocation, ensuring strong financial discipline and value-focused decision support.
  • Develop a strong command of the Cyber business model, including market dynamics, portfolio economics, delivery considerations, revenue quality, and cost structure, in order to provide commercially relevant and credible business advice.
  • Challenge assumptions, narratives, and proposals with confidence and professionalism, and influence stakeholders through clear reasoning, financial evidence, and sound business judgement.
  • Drive executive-level reporting and presentations that distil complexity into clear financial narratives, strategic implications, and management actions for senior leadership review.
  • Raise the standard of financial planning, reporting, and performance management processes through continuous improvement, stronger analytical frameworks, and effective use of digital and AI-enabled tools.
  • Maintain strong governance, controls, and execution discipline while balancing the need to enable the business with speed, agility, and commercial responsiveness.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent are strongly preferred.
  • Significant and proven experience in FP&A and business partnering, with a strong track record of influencing decisions, improving performance, and delivering measurable business value beyond routine planning and reporting activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate credibly at senior stakeholder level, including the confidence and maturity to challenge constructively, influence outcomes, and engage business leaders on strategic and commercial issues.
  • Strong commercial and business acumen, with the ability to connect financial performance to operational execution, market realities, strategic priorities, and value creation opportunities.
  • Experience in cybersecurity, technology, engineering, or other complex project- and solution-based businesses is highly preferred. Candidates must be able to understand and engage with the realities of a Cyber business environment quickly and credibly.
  • Excellent analytical capability and financial modelling strength, with the ability to synthesise large and complex data sets into concise, decision-useful insights for management.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and executive storytelling skills, with the ability to tailor messages effectively for both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • High standards of ownership, accountability, and intellectual rigor, with a proactive mindset and the resilience to operate in a demanding, fast-paced, and evolving environment.
  • Demonstrated drive for excellence and continuous improvement, including the ability to leverage digital tools, automation, and AI-enabled solutions to strengthen finance support to the business.
