Job Description

General Responsibilities

Ø Responsible to support the engineering team and maintenance operations, including general property maintenance are working properly and up to the resorts operating standards.

Ø Comply with the resort environmental, health and safety policies and procedures.

Specific Responsibilities

Ø Take briefings for the engineering associates and help them prioritize the work for the day.

Ø Assist Chief Engineer in Operations and take the lead in the absence of chief engineer

Ø Follow up on the previous day guest complaints and ensure the closure and doing the root cause analysis of the same.

Ø Analyze the previous day HLP and find out the reasons in case if any of the consumption is over the budget.

Ø Ensure strict grooming and hygiene standards of the team as per the hotel standards.

Ø Monitor the usage of electricity, water, diesel, LPG and ensure the wastages is minimized.

Ø Ensure the compliance of the water quality of potable water, swimming pool, and boiler water as per the resort standards.

Ø To make sure all the equipments are in good working condition.

Ø To monitor all the electrical and mechanical systems in the resort for their proper and efficient working by taking periodic visits.

Ø Informing the ACE in case if there is any deviation observed on the machinery and proper action to be taken for rectifying the same.

Ø Ensure the availability of spares and supplies to carry out the routine maintenance work.

Ø Conduct trainings like safety at work place, safe environment practices, emergency preparedness, preventive maintenance procedures etc and document them as per the approved training calendar

Ø In case of any third-party work contract, need to consult with ACE and prepare the work order as per the resort policy and standards

Ø Perform daily routine and preventative maintenance within the resort rooms and public areas.

Ø Respond promptly and efficiently to any maintenance calls that arise either by the guests or other departments.

Ø Respond courteously to guest requests promptly and resolve matters to guest's satisfaction.

Ø To be fully informed of the system operation and to handle emergencies involving the systems.

Ø Able to use technical abilities to solve problems and make repairs effectively and efficiently.

Ø Attend all firefighting classes and to obtain a thorough knowledge of firefighting appliances.

Ø Carry out any reasonable duties as instructed by the Assistant Chief Engineer.

Previous experience as a Shift Engineer in a five-star hotel/resort

Presentable and pleasant

Ability to lead and motivate others

Outstanding performer and good eye for detail

Proficient in MS office

Ability to perform effectively when there are significant pressure peaks

Should be good motivator

Able to take ownership and initiative

Able to converse, read and write English and knowledge of a local language

Positive attitude, helpful and anticipate guest needs
