Job Description
Position Summary
The Assistant Manager – BSO leads the delivery of outsourced accounting, financial reporting, tax compliance, financial statement preparation, and audit support services. The role manages client engagements, develops client relationships, leads the BSO team, and contributes to the growth of the practice.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client & Engagement Management
- Manage multiple client engagements and ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality service delivery.
- Serve as the primary contact for key clients.
- Monitor engagement progress, service quality, deadlines, and client satisfaction.
- Identify and address risks, issues, and opportunities.
2. Accounting, Financial Statements, Tax & Audit Support
Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Oversee bookkeeping and managed accounting services for multiple clients.
- Review financial reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Provide guidance on accounting, financial reporting, and tax matters.
Financial Statements
- Manage the preparation and review of financial statements for external audit purposes.
- Ensure compliance with PFRS and applicable reporting requirements.
- Resolve significant financial reporting and accounting issues.
Audit Assistance
- Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit requirements.
- Oversee the preparation of schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documents.
- Support the timely resolution of audit queries and findings.
3. Leadership, Process Improvement & Advisory
- Lead, coach, and develop BSO team members while overseeing workload, resource allocation, and performance.
- Drive process improvements, standardization, automation, and technology adoption to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
- Support advisory engagements and recommend solutions to strengthen client processes, controls, and reporting.
4. Business Development & Professional Standards
- Build and maintain strong client relationships and support proposals, presentations, and business development initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for additional services and contribute to practice growth and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with firm policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements while promoting professionalism and ethical conduct.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA preferred.
- 4-7 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, audit, tax, or outsourced accounting services.
- Experience in team leadership, client management, and engagement oversight.
- Experience managing multiple clients and complex engagements.
- Strong knowledge of:

- Internal Controls
- Accounting Systems and ERP Platforms
